Soil Association Accreditation - Member & Licence Holder
Our supplier Shirtworks has worked hard to add to its corporate and social responsibility charter. We are proud to announce that it has achieved certification by the Soil Association as a supplier of organic clothing and products using decorated organic processes.
Global Organic Textile Standard - Member
Our supplier is a member of GOTS an organisation consisting of four member organisations, the OTA (USA), IVN (Germany), Soil association (UK) and JOCA (Japan). Their mission is the development, implementation, verification, protection and promotion of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). This standard stipulates requirements throughout the supply chain for both ecology and labour conditions in textile and apparel manufacturing using organically produced raw materials. Organic production is based on a system of farming that maintains and replenishes soil fertility without the use of toxic, persistent pesticides and fertilisers. In addition, organic production relies on adequate animal husbandry and excludes genetic modification.
Global Recycle Standard - Suplier
Global Recycle Standard (GRS) is a certification that ensures that the materials that are claimed to be recycled would have been gone into the solid waste stream.
This can be pre consumer, for instance off cuts from the manufacturing process, or post consumer, such as plastic bottles. For more information please go to the Textile Exchange.
